IP Protect is a robust system that protects you against vulnerable networks attacks by encrypting and decrypting your public IP address in Unreal Engine.
If someone with malicious intent gets a hold of your public IP address, they can cause harm in a variety of ways. They can for instance, find out where you live, get personal information, they can send a DDOS attack which would make your server lag or even shut down. If you have an older router with compromising settings, they could even hack into your router.
IP Protect shields you and your playerbase from all direct harm that can come from sharing your public IP address. The easy to use function nodes allow you to both encrypt and decrypt a public IP address with a key, so that no one will be able to trace it back to the original address.
